AAA Pool Service, Inc. offers a wide variety of services. We pride ourselves on doing the job at the time and date you set. We do not overbook our Openings and Closings because we know how important it is to you, the customer, that we are there the day you scheduled us to be.

We also like to do preventative maintenance. When we open your pool in the spring we replace seals and gaskets so that during the swimming season, your pool doesn’t have to be shut down for repair. Furthermore, our weekly service technicians are trained to report anything that is out of the ordinary. If something looks bad or out of place, we will try to fix it before it becomes a problem.

Weekly Maintenance

We offer two different types of weekly maintenance, Full Service and a Chemical Check. Both types are designed to help maintain your swimming pool week after week. A Chemical Check consists of the following:

Skimming the surface of the water
Emptying skimmer baskets and the pump basket
Brushing steps and love seats
Cleaning tile as needed
Emptying automatic cleaner bag (if applicable)

Checking, documenting, and balancing water (all chemicals are extra and are delivered/added as needed via our service tech)
Looking over equipment and informing customer of concerns

A Full Service includes all of the above plus a full vacuuming of the pool (up to one hour).

Openings

We offer two different types of pool openings. The first is a full Drain and Chemical Wash. This includes the following:

Remove pool cover, clean and store at customers home

Drain all water out of pool and chemical wash (up to 10 gallons of acid)

Set up pool equipment (test pump, put heater into proper operational mode, put filter into proper operational mode, check over any additional equipment)

Clean skimmers and tile, hose off deck; set up lights, return fittings, skimmer baskets, filter basket and pool cleaner (where applicable)

Start pool filling; customer will notify office when pool is filled, at which time we will return to start up the equipment (return start up visit is INCLUDED in opening price)
*Note: One thing that separates AAA Pools from our competitors is that we use an acid additive that helps to protect your pools plaster from excessive abuse due to acid washing.

Many companies use very high concentrations of acid, with no additive, which helps them to quickly and easily remove staining. While this is helpful to them, it is very hard on your plaster and will shed years off its life.
The other type of opening we offer is a Vacuum. It is the same service as above except instead of the pool being drained and chemical washed, the pool is vacuumed to waste and only two to three feet of water is taken out.

This type of opening is particularly nice for those who have a solid winter cover and their pool water and walls are still relatively clean from the previous year. It will also save you time and money on refilling your entire pool with fresh water.
Closings
Winterizing your pool is a major ordeal. You cannot simply turn off your pool equipment and throw a cover on. There are several steps that need to be taken in order to ensure your pool will safely make it through the freezing winters of Chicagoland. Our closings are done by qualified service technicians who have been trained both on the job and in the classroom on the proper ways to winterize a pool. We do the following:
Lowering water level to correct height
Drain all equipment

Blow out all lines and force non-staining anti-freeze through them (anti-freeze included)
Plug winterized lines with customers rubber plugs
Remove handrails, ladder, pool cleaner, and store for winter
Install customers winter cover

Inspect your equipment and pool to see if there are any problems that will need to be addressed in the spring time.

Balance water (chemicals not included). A properly balanced pool will help to protect the floor and walls from corrosive, staining water over the winter months.
*Note: AAA Pools uses several gallons of anti-freeze to winterize your pool to ensure the safety of your plumbing. The average pool will use 4 to 6 gallons of anti-freeze which in many cases is 4 to 5 times more than our competitors.

Many pool companies will only add anti-freeze to the skimmers and pump basket. We force it through every line and all of your equipment to ensure there are no pockets of water left anywhere in your lines that may freeze over the winter.
